Saptashakti Sangam Set to Begin in Meghalaya by Vidya Bharati

Vidya Bharati, one of India’s largest educational organizations, will soon organize the Saptashakti Sangam in Meghalaya. The initiative aims to promote values-based education and social transformation.

To prepare for the event, the Meghalaya Shiksha Samiti held a one-day workshop at Shri Kanchi Kamakoti Vidya Bharati Vidyalaya, Shillong. Dr. Bably Choudhury (National Joint Secretary, Vidya Bharati) and Dr. Milan Rani Jamatia (North East Zonal Convener, Saptashakti Sangam) guided the session. They explained the objectives and shared the detailed plan of the Sangam.

During the workshop, Smt. Sumitra Lalu was appointed as the Convener of the Meghalaya State Organizing Committee. Organizers also confirmed that programs under Saptashakti Sangam will take place in 10 Vidya Bharati schools across Meghalaya.

The Sangam will focus on family enlightenment, environmental conservation, women’s role in society, and social harmony. These topics will be discussed through interactive sessions and awareness programs.

On a national level, Vidya Bharati aims to involve 75 lakh mothers and sisters in the campaign. To achieve this, 800 speakers from across India will receive special training in September 2025. After the training, these speakers will visit communities across the country to spread the message of empowerment, awareness, and unity.
