Vidya Bharti Purvottar Kshetra organized its Annual General Body meeting at Pasighat. The two-day regional meeting was inaugurated at Donyi Polo Vidya Niketan Talom Rukbo Nagar, with Avnish Bhatnagar, All India General Secretary of Vidya Bharti, Tai Tagak, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Dr. Jagdendra Raychaudhuri, Regional Secretary, and Dr. Pawan Tiwari, Regional Organizing Secretary, in attendance. Regional executive members, presidents, secretaries of various state committees and trusts, regional subject in-charges, and Purnakalik Karyakartas also participated.
During the meeting, Avnish Bhatnagar emphasized the importance of all-round student development as the main aim of education, and presented the Shantanu Raghunath Shende Award to Vasudha Bhide, Principal of Saraswati Vidya Niketan, Mahadevpur. The regional subject in-charges and state committee Karyakartas presented the annual report of their work and discussed upcoming programs. Assam Chah Janagoshthi Shiksha Sanskriti Nyas and Sankardev Education and Research Foundation also presented their annual reports.

Vidya Bharti runs 666 schools through various registered state committees in the North East region, with 1,64,668 students studying under the guidance of 10,240 teachers. Additionally, 631 Ekal Sanskar Kendras provide informal education to 19,512 students for free. The meeting was concluded by the presence of Prof. Anupam Mishra, Vice-Chancellor of the Central Agricultural University Manipur, Bodong Yirang, President of Arunachal Shiksha Vikas Samiti, and Prof. Ganga Prasad Parsai, Vice Chancellor of Tripura Central University. Before the meeting, an executive meeting of Vidya Bharti Purvottar Kshetra was also organized.
