Guwahati, June 22, 2025:
The Annual General Meeting of Shankardev Education and Research Foundation, the patron organization of Pragjyotishpur University, was held on June 22, 2025.
Established in 2021, the institute has made remarkable progress in a short span of time. From the successful organization of the North East Education Conclave 2021 to launching academic ventures such as Pragjyotishpur University and the Centre for Indo-ASEAN Strategic Studies (CIASS), the institute has gained considerable recognition in the field of education. It has received wide appreciation from students, and admissions for the third academic session are currently underway.
The meeting was chaired by Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Rana Pratap Kalita, President of theFoundation. Distinguished attendees included Basishtha Buzarbaruah, RSS Assam Kshetra Pracharak; K.N. Raghunandan Ji, Organizing Secretary of Vidya Bharati Uchcha Shiksha Sansthan; Dr. Pawan Tiwari, Organizing Secretary of Vidya Bharati Purvottar Kshetra, and Professor Sudeshna Bhattacharya, Secretary of the Shankardev Education and Research Foundation, who delivered the welcome address and presented the annual report.
Vikas Nagpuriya, Treasurer, presented the audit report for the financial year 2024–25 and proposed the budget for 2025–26.
The event also witnessed the presence of eminent educationists, including Prof. Ganga Prasad Prasain, Vice-Chancellor of Tripura University, and Prof. Smriti Kumar Sinha, Vice-Chancellor of Pragjyotishpur University, among others.
