Successful Conclusion of Teacher’s Orientation Camp 2024 and Shishu Vatika Prashikshan Varg Organised by Arunachal Shiksha Vikas Samiti, Naharlagun
Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh 28/05/2024 : The Arunachal Shiksha Vikas Samiti (ASVS) the state Chapter of Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan successfully concluded the Teacher’s Orientation Camp 2024 and Shishu Vatika Prashikshan Varg, held from May 18th to May 28th, 2024, and May 22nd to May 28th, 2024, at Abotani Vidya Niketan, Pachin Colony, Naharlagun respectively.
The closing ceremonies were graced by prominent dignitaries including Shri Tai Tagak, Hon’ble Advisor to HCM Arunachal Pradesh, and Dr. Pawan Tiwari, Organising Secretary of Vidya Bharati Purvottar Kshetra, Guwahati. The event also featured Shri A.K. Mishra, SLO & Associate Professor, Directorate of Higher & Technical Education, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar, as the Chief Guest. Other notable attendees were Dr. Mika Umpo, Associate Professor at TRIHMS, Naharlagun, and Vice President of ASVS; Dr. Joram Aniya, Associate Professor at DNGC Itanagar and Vice President of ASVS; Shri Tadar Kama, Former President of ASVS; Shri Gyamar Kassung, Secretary of ASVS; and Shri Sukumaran K, State Coordinator of ASVS.
selected Participants teachers from Vidya Niketans, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, EMRS Tirap, and eight district headquarters. These educators, categorized by secondary and primary levels, engaged in a comprehensive training program aligned with the NEP 2020 and Vidya Bharati curriculum. The camp, officially inaugurated by Chief Guest Shri Tai Tagakji, commenced on May 18th, 2024, alongside Dr. Emi Rumi, Director of Family Welfare, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh.
The 10-days training program featured 54 sessions, covering a wide range of topics designed by the Vidya Bharati curriculum focused on child-centric education. Esteemed resource persons from Rajiv Gandhi University, Doimukh, DNGC Itanagar, various government departments, social workers, and NGO leaders shared their expertise and experiences.
Key topics included physical activities, group discussions, preparation of SOPs for schools, Indian education philosophy and psychology, the role and quality of teachers, Bharatiya Shiksha Padhati, concepts of fundamental literacy and numeracy, ECCE and Shishu Vatika, Balika Shiksha, Panchapadi education of Vidya Bharati, action research, and current challenges in education.
The Teacher’s Orientation Camp 2024 and Shishu Vatika Prashikshan Varg have significantly impacted the participating educators, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to enhance the educational experience for their students. The comprehensive training program has fostered a sense of community and collaboration among teachers, encouraging them to share best practices and support each other in their professional journeys.
